CPCWHS1001 PREPARE TO WORK SAFELY IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

This course covers the latest Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws, incorporating the requirements of the West Australian Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984.

On successful completion, participants receive a White Card and a Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency.

Only students who are physically located in WA at the time of assessment can be issued a WorkSafe Construction Induction Training (CIT) card as per the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulations and Safety (DMIRS) requirements.

COST – $100 (DEPENDANT ON CTF REBATE ELIGIBILITY)

DELIVERY – BLENDED (COMBINED ONLINE AND FACE TO FACE TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT)

DURATION – 4 HOURS (2 HOURS ONLINE. 2 HOURS FACE TO FACE)

LOCATION – OSBORNE PARK (OTHER LOCATIONS IN WA AVAILABLE ON REQUEST)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS – THERE ARE NO ENTRY REQUIREMENTS TO ENROL IN THIS COURSE. ONLY INDIVIDUALS BASED IN WA ARE ELIGIBLE TO OBTAIN A WA WHITE CARD.

ASSESSMENT – STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE A WRITTEN ASSESSMENT AND PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT INCLUDES DEMONSTRATION AND VERBAL QUESTIONING.

Upon successful enrolment, students will get access to the online learning module. Once completed a time and location will be scheduled to undertake the face-to-face training and assessment component of the course.

The CTF provides funding support for training of eligible workers in the construction industry.  We acknowledge the support of the CTF in reducing the costs of training for eligible workers.
